The term TVM will be used quite frequently. Unless specified it will be referring to either the Macintosh or Windows version of The Virtual Meeting.
There is no limit to the number of users in the architecture. A single server will only be able to handle a finite number of users. But individual servers can be linked together to multiply capacity.
Do I need a Wide Area Network in order to use the system
You can use The Virtual Meeting on a Wide Area Network or dial in using a modem.
You certainly can. On the Macintosh you can use one of the commercially available tcp/ip connection tools and MacTCP to connect to a conference. On MS Windows computers you can currently connect to the internet using a modem or terminal server.
