Business Situation: One organization many dispersed members
A large medical society is comprised of 3,000 physicians residing in every state of the US. The Costs involved in bringing every member together for an annual convention is continually rising.
Customer Need: Cost Effective Communications
The society needs a cost effective way to bring together its membership without the loss of time and money associated with travel. Ease of operation is also a priority.
Solution: The Virtual Meeting Electronic Town Hall Edition
The Virtual Meeting will allow the medical society to create an electronic convention that all the members can attend without leaving their important medical practices. The physicians can attend telelectures on new technologies and procedures while watching movies of the procedures and viewing the medical images provided by each lecturer.
Other presentations including the keynote address by the president of the society and the speeches by the candidates for presidency will be provided. The system will also be used to facilitate the voting in the society's election and posting of the results of the election.
Conventions using The Virtual Meeting Electronic Town Hall Edition maximizes resources by decreasing the cost the society has to pay for meeting facilities while eliminating travel time and costs.
The Virtual Meeting Electronic Town Hall Edition is available for Macintosh and Windows 3.1 and consists of the following software components for each user:
One copy of the Moderators Extension is required for each conference moderator
