TVM The Virtual Meeting

Visual Communications Software for Macintosh and Windows Computers

Using TVM With Video Conferencing

Although the system was designed to allow people to conference without video. You can also use the system to add many of these features to a live video conferencing system.

You can use the User port on most CODEC's to communicate between two Conference Gateway applications. You can just as easily use a pair of modems or network connection on a Local or Wide Area Network to connect the two points.

Once that connection is established, control of computer presentations is independent of the video conference, effectively adding another channel to a video conference. You can use this virtual channel for presentations, document sharing, Web Conferencing or just sketching, etc.

Use of this virtual channel completely eliminates the possibility of scan conversion problems when interfacing computers to your conferencing system. Since the Macintosh or Windows screen doesn't look as good after it is transformed to video. Both ends of the connection can see the graphics on a Macintosh or Windows screen and not thru the compression of the CODEC.
